Our amazing time in Australia started with lashings of awesome when we attended the wedding of our friends Liz and Alex. Fresh off the plane that morning we picked up our little hire care at Sydney airport and drove a few hours inland to the wine land regions of the Hunter Valley and the cute historic town of Morpeth. What a beautiful place! Old, colonial style buildings and farms. Antique shops by the dozen and farming countryside that is just divine. Lush greenery and rolling hills...heaven!
I knew that Liz and Alex's wedding was going to be something very special and it was! Liz is uber creative and she threw herself whole heartedly into her wedding planning, hand crafting all the little details and creating a day that was a highly personal affair. Everything was beautifully thought through. From the cute boxes with their hand written labels that contained little treasures for all the bridal party, to the hand made boutonnieres. From the vintage cuff links individually sourced for each of the groomsmen to the awesome paper music roll center pieces and hand cut squirrel name places.... check them out in the link below!
Their wedding took place in a cute little wooden church, All Saints in Woodville and the reception was held in the equally cute wooden hall next door. Every detail was perfect, personal and reminiscent of a bygone era.
I was not the photographer at this wedding. The amazing Vibrant Photography captured their day beautifully... and you can see their amazing wedding here on Vibrant Photography's blog. Check out those details!!
As I was staying at the house where groom Alex got ready with his groomsmen, I captured a few frames for them, some of which I want to share with you today.
